BDB Construction  Enterprise has served as general contractor for an innovative, fast-paced redevelopment of University Centre in the University Heights neighborhood of Newark, New Jersey. The project, a 521-bedroom student residence serving students from Rutgers University-Newark, the New Jersey Institute of Technology, and Seton Hall University, has been expanded to accommodate 800 beds, increasing from its original capacity of only 690 students. Completed in two phases while partially occupied, the work addresses a 13-story tower and a five-story housing block with upgrades to 96 apartments and varied common spaces in the first phase, followed by 139 more units and project completion by summer 2026. The student apartments feature LVP flooring and fully equipped kitchens with all appliances, with finishes and material craftsmanship ensuring the highest quality and lasting value for this fast-track reconstruction process.
